The Prothonotary Warbler homes on slow running rivers. It nests in natural cavities and in nest boxes that are hung from tree branches or mounted on posts. It can be found along the Sugar River in Green County, Wisconsin. Due to current farming practices of clearing river banks, destruction of natural cavities, and competition from other cavity nesters, the warbler's habitat is limited. The beautiful bright yellow bird is seldom seen.
